Collin Choirs Audition INFO
Chorale Evening Group: You may enroll without the permission of the director, but please email Kathy Morgan if you are not sure if this is the right ensemble for you. kmorgan@ccccd.edu
Expressions and Chamber Singers auditions are in B180 on Spring Creek Campus. Please arrive early and be prepared to sing for at least one and a half hours (time varies depending on the number of people auditioning.)
Please have a prepared acapella solo that is under 2 minutes and suitable for the ensemble that you are auditioning for (i.e. no pop or musical theatre for Chamber Singers and no classical or country for Expressions). This will be performed in front of everyone that is auditioning unless you are absolutely too scared to do so.
Chart/Song that is available to learn on your own will be read through together as part of the audition to see how you work with others and to see how well you learned your music.
Bring a pencil/pen to fill out questionnaire as well as a calendar. Due to the amount of time you might want to bring some water.
If you need scholarship money to pay for the ensemble, please inform Kathy Morgan.
This is supposed to be a friendly supportive process, so have fun.
If you have any other questions please feel free to email Kathy Morgan.
